Nico Hülkenberg is going to discover the Zandvoort circuit in Formula 1
The Haas driver, despite his experience, has never driven on the Dutch circuit with one of the fastest single-seaters in the world. He will discover it this weekend.
He is one of the most experienced on the track, yet Zandvoort is almost unknown to him. He has only raced there in Formula BMW, Formula 3, and A1 Grand Prix. Never in F1. His three years away from the circuits have prevented him from discovering this track designed in the dunes in 2021 and 2022. However, he lives just a few kilometers away from the site.
That doesn’t prevent him from having an opinion on this technical circuit. « I think it’s a great circuit, really a roller coaster with lots of changes in elevation, turns, and a good mix of everything, so I can’t wait to hit the track behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car for the first time », says Nico Hülkenberg.
After the summer break, the German driver hopes to find his rhythm again and fight for points. The improvements made by Haas could help him. « We just have to keep doing what we are doing. It is obvious that we are looking for performance and we want to do better, we want to get more results and points. »
