Mercedes brings updates to Spa
Toto Wolff confirmed that his team will be bringing new parts this weekend in Belgium. The Mercedes boss hopes that they will lead his men in the right direction.
Mercedes doesn’t want to be surpassed by McLaren. In the last two races, the team managed by Toto Wolff has found itself to be the third strongest on the grid. With McLaren having developed their car with numerous updates that are effective, Zak Brown’s team is competing with Mercedes.
To bridge this performance gap with the Woking team, but above all to catch up with Red Bull, Mercedes has decided to bring new components to its W14 in Spa.
Maximizing the rhythm
« We will bring updates this weekend as part of our ongoing development program. We hope it will be another small step forward in improving the W14 », confirms Toto Wolff, the team boss.
The Austrian is not able to reveal where his team will be compared to the rest of the field with these new elements. « Regardless of the true pace of our car, we want to maximize the result of this final race before the summer break. »
