131,083€: Record for Max Verstappen’s combination at auction

Several weeks ago, Charles Leclerc launched an auction to sell his items from the Monaco Grand Prix, in support of the flood victims in the Imola region. This time, it’s Max Verstappen and Red Bull who are launching an auction, and still for a good cause. The funds raised from the sale of Max Verstappen’s racing suit will go directly to the Wings For Life organization, which fights against spinal cord injuries, by trying to find reliable solutions and conducting clinical trials.

But that’s not all! The lucky winner, whose identity is not yet known, will have the chance to meet Max Verstappen who will present him with the racing suit on this occasion. An opportunity to meet the double world champion that doesn’t come around every day. Then, a visit to the Milton Keynes factory is also part of the program, in order to discover the inner workings of a Formula 1 winning team.

Barry Gough, the boss of the F1 Authentics website, which manages this auction, says « Proud to support Red Bull Racing with this auction, all proceeds of which will go to Wings for Life ».

Closed on July 4th, the sale of Max Verstappen’s suit reached a record price of exactly €131,083. A very generous amount for Wings For Life, which once again proves that Formula 1 reaches a larger audience. A beautiful gesture from Red Bull and the reigning double world champion.

The contract was signed by Verstappen’s hand.
