Yuki Tsunoda loses one point on his Super License
The Japanese driver forced Guanyu Zhou out of the track limits during a move at the first corner.
During the Spanish Grand Prix, Yuki Tsunoda made headlines once again. First, for his inappropriate language towards his engineers. Then, for a bold maneuver against Guanyu Zhou. While battling with the Chinese driver, the AlphaTauri driver attempted to overtake the Alfa Romeo.
However, during his overtaking attempt, the Japanese driver pushed Guanyu Zhou out of the track limits at turn 1. Immediately, the Alfa Romeo driver radioed to complain and the stewards then opened an investigation.
A few minutes later, the commissioners made a decision. They imposed a five-second penalty on Yuki Tsunoda, which put him out of the points in Barcelona. Additionally, he lost one point on his Super License, bringing his total to five over a one-year period.
