Max Verstappen reacts after the boos at the Miami Grand Prix
Booed by a portion of the audience at the Miami Grand Prix, Max Verstappen asserts that it simply means he is winning, as no one boos the driver who "is driving at the back".
While rapper LL Cool J was introducing the drivers to Miami fans and Will.i.am was conducting an orchestra, Verstappen was booed by part of the crowd.
The same phenomenon occurred again after the Grand Prix, when the Red Bull driver, who went from ninth place on the grid to first place at the checkered flag, was once again jeered when he stepped onto the podium.
The driver insists that it doesn’t bother him because, after all, he’s the one bringing the winner’s trophy home.

Sunday’s victory is Red Bull’s fifth of the season, four of which were achieved with a one-two finish, giving the Austrian team a 122-point lead in the constructors’ championship, while Verstappen has a 14-point lead over Pérez in the drivers’ standings.
The rivals of the Milton Keynes team hope to narrow the gap on the track during the next outing in Imola, with Mercedes and Ferrari promising significant improvements.
Verstappen is not worried, estimating that Red Bull has a “decent advantage, especially in the race.”
