Fernando Alonso: “The car was incredible”
Fourth podium in five races for Fernando Alonso, confirming his status as the best among the rest behind the unbeatable Red Bull.
Always at the forefront at the beginning of the season, Fernando Alonso climbed to the 102nd podium of his career in Miami. Despite his performance, the Spanish driver admitted to being bored during the race: “It was a solo race for me. I couldn’t fight with the Red Bulls. It wasn’t easy, but I was very alone.”
On a little cloud, the double world champion imagines himself as the winner in the upcoming races: The car is incredible. It was fun at the start and everything went well. We will now move on to Imola, Monaco, and Spain. We now have 4 podiums. There may be opportunities in Monaco or Barcelona to beat the Red Bull.
With this new podium, Alonso strengthens his third place in the championship with a 19-point lead over Lewis Hamilton now.
