Several changes of parts before the qualifications in Miami
Five drivers had their engine components changed before the qualifying session of the Miami Grand Prix.
There were a whole bunch of new parts in the teams’ trucks. After a first wave of changes just before the start of Free Practice 1, another wave took place on Saturday, May 6th.
Lance Stroll and Alexander Albon have had new batteries and a new electronic control unit installed. Lando Norris also benefits from these same new components on his McLaren.
Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz received a new gearbox. This is the third one this season for the Dutchman. The second one for the Ferrari driver.
No penalty for all these men, as they stay within the quota set by the FIA regulations.
