MSC Cruises extends partnership with Formula 1 until 2026

MSC, or Mediterranean Shipping Company, now benefits from the immense visibility of Formula 1. The agreement between the two companies until 2026 states that an MSC Cruises ship can be docked in a port around the race circuit if the framework allows it, for example in Bahrain.

This will allow fans to experience hospitality on the water or be accommodated on one of the ships located near the Grand Prix to live a unique emotion during one of the most highly publicized sports events. This will be the case in Abu Dhabi, notably with the MSC Virtuosa cruise ship for the last race of the season.

The two companies will also continue to work together to achieve the common goal of sustainable change, with Formula 1 and MSC Cruises committing to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 and 2050, respectively.

The president of Formula 1, Stefano Domenicali, commented on this extension: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with MSC Cruises, as our two brands share a commitment to innovation and excellence. This collaboration has yielded exceptional results, and we are excited to further strengthen our relationship. Together, we will continue to push the boundaries and set new standards in the fields of sports and hospitality.”

The Formula 1 and MSC Cruises are excellent partners in many ways. We are both global leaders in our respective fields and our successes are based on teamwork. Additionally, we are both committed to sustainable change. We want to build the future of our industries and leave a lasting legacy for future generations. We are both at the forefront of our sectors and contribute to making a real difference. That’s why we are committed to a long-term partnership and have signed an extension of our sponsorship as a global partner, commented Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of MSC Cruises.
