Toto Wolff will always support Lewis Hamilton, referring to his change of physiotherapist
The boss of the Mercedes team has spoken out about the separation announced, on Friday, March 17, between Lewis Hamilton and his physiotherapist Angela Cullen.
This news has caused a small shockwave within the community of Mercedes and Hamilton fans. After seven years of partnership, Angela Cullen and Lewis Hamilton announced the end of their collaboration through their respective Instagram posts. The seven-time World Champion had stated that his physiotherapist had helped him become the best version of himself.
Toto Wolff was not informed about the announcement. Even if the boss had the information, he doesn’t know what was announced to the press. « I don’t know what was announced,” he explains in a press conference.
Angela was a part of the group for a long time. I think that in every team, whether it’s her close circle or a larger group, it’s not a static situation that can be frozen, because we all evolve as individuals. We evolve as an organization, and if things aren’t working anymore, we need to be honest about it and make changes, says the Austrian.
Angela will always be the team mascot. She is the only one with a voice more powerful than an F1 car at the start! But if that’s what [Hamilton] decides, we will always support him unconditionally, no matter which direction he wants to take.
