End of premature testing for Mercedes, on this second day

After a first day spent among the fastest, Lewis Hamilton achieved the sixth best time on Thursday, February 23rd. However, the morning of the second day was more challenging. The seven-time world champion is relegated to eighth place, more than one and a half seconds behind.

After completing 72 laps, the British driver then gave his place to his teammate George Russell. The man, who is in his second season with Mercedes, saw his drive end earlier than expected. The one who secured his first victory in Brazil last year had to stop his W14 at the edge of the track.

After several minutes of waiting, the German team confirmed that it is a hydraulic problem and that they will not be returning to the track, this Friday, February 24th.
