Sophia Flörsch joins the Alpine Academy

Several announcements in one evening. First, the veil was lifted on the Alpine 2023 edition, with two colors. There was also the presentation of the development of the French team’s Rac(H)er program. Through this program, Alpine aims to continue working for equality between men and women.

Thus, the team managed by Otmar Szafnauer has recruited new talents from within its academy. Among the new recruits is the young German driver Sophia Flörsch. The pilot, who will return to Formula 3 in a few days, will benefit from a tailor-made sports training program. Ultimately, the goal is to gain strength in the World Endurance Championship and compete for the top positions at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2024.

Six young women supported.

Joining the Alpine Academy is an honor and a major opportunity for my career. I have big ambitions and I am sure that putting into practice the knowledge and expertise of Alpine can only help me grow. I am excited to start this new chapter and represent Alpine on the international stage, assures Sophia Flörsch.

Abbi Pulling also becomes a full-fledged member of the academy. The W Series driver will be supported by Alpine in her dream of one day joining Formula 1. « Abbi will benefit from a training program similar to all the other drivers in the program », Alpine specifies.

As part of the Rac(H)er program, six young female drivers officially join Alpine’s karting program for young talents: Aiva Anagnostiadis (15 years old, Australian driver), Angélina Proenca (13 years old, French driver), Chiara Battig (12 years old, Swiss driver), Lisa Billard (13 years old, French driver), Maria Chiara Nardelli (12 years old, Italian driver), and Kaur Kera Sukhmani (10 years old, British driver). All six of them are part of a customized sports program to turn them into the champions of tomorrow.
