Stefano Domenicali expresses his support for the Turkish people

It is a new tragedy that affects our world. Since Sunday night to Monday, violent earthquakes have been hitting Turkey and part of Syria. The initial reports mentioned around 700 dead, but in the past few hours, new updates after extensive searches, have increased the human toll. This Tuesday, February 7th in the morning, it is estimated that around 5,000 people have been killed.

Following this natural disaster, Stefano Domenicali wanted to express his support to the Turkish people, who have been the most affected. Turkey holds a very special place in the heart of F1 with so many amazing people. The tragedy that took place there has shocked us all, and we are praying for the victims and the people of Turkey.

As a reminder, this country holds an important position in the world of Formula 1 since the Istanbul Park has hosted a Grand Prix nine times. The latest, in 2021, saw Lewis Hamilton win his seventh world title.
