James Volwes is the new team principal of Williams
The Mercedes engineer has just left the German team. He is joining Williams as the team principal.
It’s a big name in modern motorsports who is joining Williams: James Volwes. The Briton has just left Mercedes, where he held the position of Chief Strategy Engineer. Within the German team, he also worked closely with the team’s drivers to help optimize the car’s performance based on the tracks and configurations tested in the factory simulator.
From now on, within the team based in Grove, he will hold a more important position. He is thus succeeding Jost Capito, who left unexpectedly a few weeks ago. He is the third known team principal for the Williams team (the third being Frank Williams).
