Andretti and Cadillac are teaming up to make their way into Formula 1
Andretti has partnered with General Motors, notably Cadillac, to get closer to Formula 1. The goal is to enter F1 by 2026.
A new 100% American force. This is the project of Andretti and General Motors. The two entities have just announced, this Thursday, January 5th, that they are joining forces to take another step towards Formula 1. Their joint project would be done with Cadillac.
Andretti and General Motors have ensured that their announcement follows the injunction from Mohammed Ben Sulayem to his FIA teams to work on a call for applications for new teams in Formula 1. The latter has indeed welcomed the news, stating that he was eager to discuss again.
Andretti has been trying for nearly a year now in the premier category of motorsports, but the numerous reservations have so far prevented him from being accepted.
Two icons. One pursuit. 💪

For now, no other information has been revealed by the organizations. We will be on track when it makes complete sense to be there, specified Michael Andretti, CEO of Andretti Global.
The headquarters would be located in the United States, at the Andretti construction site, which is scheduled to open in 2025. An office should also be installed in Europe for logistical reasons.
To join the discipline, a team would have to spend 200 million dollars to compensate the other teams. Michael Andretti says he is ready to pay this amount.
