Five teams to take part in F1 women’s championship
Formula 1 has unveiled the name of this women-only championship, which will start in 2023.
These are big names in promotional formulas. Therefore, next year, the F1 Academy will include: ART Grand Prix, Campos Racing, Carlin, MP Motorsport, and Prema Racing. All these teams participate in the Formula E and Formula 3 championships.
Each team will have three single-seaters, so there will be 15 drivers competing next season. Seven meetings are scheduled, with three events per appointment. For now, the calendar is not yet known.

I am very excited to announce the five teams that are joining the F1 Academy for the next three-year cycle, starting from 2023, says Bruno Michel, CEO of Formula Motorsport Ltd, which will manage the championship.
We know them very well and we have been working with each of them for many years. They are renowned for their experience and expertise in training and developing young pilots. I have full confidence that they will provide the participating drivers in the F1 Academy with the tools to progress technically, and that they will assist them in their physical and mental preparation for the adventure that awaits them.
On his side, Stefano Domenicali, the CEO of F1, emphasizes that this championship will offer numerous opportunities for female drivers. The F1 Academy is an important element of our plan to increase diversity and representation in motorsport.
