Mercedes among Mick Schumacher’s options for 2023
Mick Schumacher will not be on the grid in 2023. Haas has decided to replace him with Nico Hülkenberg. The young German driver is studying several Formula 1 options for next season, including one with Mercedes.
After 2 seasons at Haas and despite a significant improvement in 2022, Mick Schumacher will no longer drive for the American team. However, he has not yet given up on his Formula 1 career and is exploring all opportunities that would allow him to remain involved in the premier discipline.

Mick Schumacher will continue his winter physical preparation in the hope of quickly returning to the wheel of a Formula 1 car. The German driver knows that he has made an impression in the paddock with his progress. Ferrari and Mercedes have specifically expressed their desire to discuss with him his future in the discipline.
“I am confident that I can engage with many teams,” he said to the Dutch media, formule1.nl.
He has not yet communicated all the options that are available to him. However, the reserve driver position at Mercedes is an interesting opportunity as it would allow him to evolve in a top team and acquire a completely different experience from what he has experienced at Haas for 2 seasons.
