Ocon satisfied with beating Fernando Alonso

Alpine made significant progress during the winter, and the French cars fought at the forefront of the midfield. Fernando Alonso achieved the best results with the A522, however, the Spanish driver is being outperformed by his teammate in the championship.

A satisfaction

The Alpines have suffered a lot from technical issues this season. This is an argument that Fernando Alonso brings up to explain the gap between him and Esteban Ocon. The French driver reminds that he himself has also been a victim of his car’s reliability issues multiple times this season. This personal little victory over the two-time Spanish world champion is a satisfaction for the Frenchman.

His best season

Esteban Ocon has been in Formula 1 since 2017. While he has had some great battles on the track in the past, he believes that the 2022 season is the best of his career so far. He is also pleased with Alpine’s 4th place in the constructor’s championship.

Next year, Fernando Alonso will no longer be part of the French team. He has left for Aston Martin and will be replaced by Pierre Gasly, coming from AlphaTauri.
