Mercedes can turn around in 2023 according to Toto Wolff
Mercedes had a difficult season in 2022. A first for the German team, which has dominated the discipline for several years. However, Toto Wolff believes his team can bounce back from this complicated period without suffering a decline.
The phenomenon that Mercedes has been a victim of this season is not insignificant. It is common for a team that dominates the sport to falter at the beginning of a new regulation. However, the German team quickly turned things around by testing numerous components and accelerating their development. They even secured a victory in the penultimate race of the season in Brazil.
The other teams have often suffered after the departure of a key partner, drivers… this is not the case for Mercedes who has the same qualified personnel and has not undergone major changes. This represents a real strength for Toto Wolff.

Toto Wolff has his eyes set on the future and does not wish to dwell on this painful season for the whole team. Mercedes will have to double their efforts during the winter to consistently return to the forefront. The German brand’s objective is to once again fight for the title in 2023.
We are looking at this and thinking ‘we better be cautious’. We better be cautious because the season has passed in the blink of an eye. And we cannot let this happen, to look back after the next season and the one after that.
