Who will be on track for this Tuesday’s practice session in Abu Dhabi?
The 2022 season has just ended. 2023 is already underway. The first tests organized by Pirelli begin this Tuesday, November 22, in Abu Dhabi.
It’s the first time that the drivers will try the 2023 tires proposed by Pirelli after multiple tests without knowledge of the types of compounds used. However, these initial runs will not be representative because the cars will be slightly modified next year and the 2022 setups will not be suitable for the future tires.
These first tests will still be important for Pirelli, the teams, and the drivers as they will be able to have their first impressions and initial feedback on the upcoming tires. The softest compounds will be brought by the Italian manufacturer.
In total, the drivers will have 7 hours to drive. The track will open at 6 o’clock (Paris time) and close at 3 o’clock, with a 60-minute break.
Nico Hülkenberg will officially make his return to F1, driving for Haas. Fernando Alonso will take his first laps with Aston Martin; meanwhile, Pierre Gasly will be with Alpine.
