Haas to announce second driver before Abu Dhabi
Günther Steiner has decided. The American team boss has decided who will be the second Haas driver next year. The announcement will be made in the next few days.
This is one of the last missing pieces. For several weeks, many questions have arisen about the name of Haas’ second driver in 2023. The new poleman in F1, Kevin Magnussen, is guaranteed to be there next year because he is under contract. Mick Schumacher is not.
The performance of the German is not satisfactory and his F1 adventure could end here. He would be in competition with his compatriot Nico Hülkenberg. Until now, Günther Steiner had still not made his choice. It is now done.
« We are just sorting out the details to figure out what we’re going to do and how we’re going to do it. Expect an announcement next week, [before Abu Dhabi] I won’t tell you the day – because everyone will have to wait until that day – but it will arrive next week.

The start of the weekend in Brazil did not improve Mick Schumacher’s situation, as he achieved the last time in qualifying, while his teammate secured pole position.
