Felipe Drugovich gets his super license
The Brazilian drove last week at Silverstone with Aston Martin. By driving more than 300 km, he obtained his super license.
He doesn’t waste any time. The brand new Formula 2 champion is picking up the pace. The Brazilian participated in private tests with Aston Martin at the Silverstone circuit. Behind the wheel of last year’s single-seater, he accumulated enough kilometers to obtain his super license.
This was necessary for him since he will participate in the first free practice session with the Greens in Abu Dhabi, during the last round of the season.
“It’s incredible to have my first experience of a Formula 1 car. I have learned a lot and we have done all the necessary work and mileage to be ready for Abu Dhabi,” the Brazilian stated after his test.
The weather was a bit tricky, but we did quite a few laps on dry tires before switching to wet tires at the end of the day. The car’s performance was so impressive: the smoothness of the gear shifts, for example, and the lateral grip allow for carrying so much speed through the corners.
I really enjoyed the day, it was my first opportunity to start working effectively with the team on the track. A big thank you to everyone who made this possible.
A few days after the big jump at Yas Marina, he will participate in the scheduled Pirelli tests on November 22, on the same track.
