Daniel Ricciardo voted driver of the day in Mexico
The Australian's comeback was rewarded with the title of the day.
Daniel Ricciardo has proven that he can still be aggressive in races. Maybe even a bit too much. Struggling since the beginning of the season and often far behind his teammate, Lando Norris, the Australian has shown that he has great driving skills.
His team’s strategy was perfect in Mexico and allowed him to climb back to seventh place, after not being able to make it to Q3 on Saturday. He also had to work hard to secure this position after receiving a 10-second penalty following the collision with Yuki Tsunoda.
Despite these 10 seconds, the lead over Esteban Ocon was such that he did not lose any positions after the race.
