Max Verstappen wishes for a perfect weekend in Suzuka
The Dutchman has his second match point to win the world champion title this weekend in Japan. To do so, he will have to "give it his all".
Second match point, but this one should be easier. Last weekend, Max Verstappen had a chance to win his second world championship title, but he failed in his quest. In Japan, the matter could be more easily settled: he must not lose more than six points to Charles Leclerc in order to be crowned.
The Dutchman arrives at a circuit that he enjoys and that has not been on the calendar for three years. « We are finally back in Japan after a long time. I’m looking forward to racing at Suzuka again. I love being in Japan where I have a lot of good memories », assures the world championship leader.
We have another chance to win the drivers’ championship this weekend, but for that to happen, we’ll have to have a perfect weekend, so we’re going to give it our all.
The weekend could be special for the Dutchman and his team as the race takes place on Honda’s home turf, so it will be somewhat of a home Grand Prix. The celebration would be even greater if Max Verstappen were to win the championship in the country of his engine supplier… especially when the Honda logo makes its reappearance!
