The rain expected in Singapore
The weather forecast does not announce good weather in Singapore for the return of the Grand Prix.
Happy return, but rainy return? Three years after its last edition, the Singapore Grand Prix is once again being organized. The 2022 vintage promises to bring a bit of excitement. The 20 drivers will discover the track with their new cars. The weather may not be in their favor either.
According to the weather forecast for this Monday, September 26th, rain is expected to accompany the single-seaters on this urban circuit. Friday is expected to be the day when thunderstorms would spare the practice sessions the most. However, the risks of precipitation increase to 60% on Saturday and Sunday, during the qualifying session and the race.
The last time rain made an appearance at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, an impressive accident occurred at the start involving Kimi Räikkönen, Sebastian Vettel, Max Verstappen, and Fernando Alonso. All four men had to retire. Lewis Hamilton, on the other hand, emerged victorious ahead of Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas.
