Lewis Hamilton wants to race in Formula 1 on the African continent
The Briton assures working with Stefano Domenicali to bring Formula 1 to Africa.
It’s one of his dreams. Since his debut in Formula 1, the paddock has never gone to Africa, and Lewis Hamilton would like the race cars to head in that direction.
If recently, discussions were underway for a return of Kyalami (South Africa) to the calendar, they did not come to fruition. For now. This could soon change as the Mercedes driver is currently working on the case.
« We are present on all the other continents so it would seem logical, right? There are many places and communities to highlight over there and F1 really has no reason not to return to Africa now. »
I am working as hard as possible alongside Stefano to make it happen. It is also one of my dreams: to race in Africa before leaving F1.
The Briton states that the presence of Formula 1 in this region could be beneficial for the communities and local populations.
