Sebastian Vettel not closed to a return to F1, but not as a driver
Sebastian Vettel will retire from racing at the end of the season. However, he is not certain about leaving Formula 1 behind.
It is often difficult to permanently leave Formula 1. Throughout history, many drivers, after their retirement, have remained very close to the sport. We can notably mention Nico Rosberg, Alain Prost, and Niki Lauda.
Next, another world champion will be added to the list of legends of this retired sport: Sebastian Vettel. Although he will be retiring as a driver, he is not closed to a return to F1, with Red Bull, but not as a driver.
I don’t know at the moment, I’m not considering anything, because, you know, I’m distancing myself. So, time will tell what will be possible to do, if there is an offer of this kind or not, and then I will see how I feel. I am quite happy to spend more time on other things and I am looking forward to seeing the children more and stuff like that. And then time will tell if I miss it in three months or three years. I don’t know. So, we’ll see.
The German could then take on a consultant role and bring all his racing experience (which is expected to reach the milestone of 300 GPs by the end of the season).
