Max Verstappen, among the earliest to reach 30 victories
The Dutch driver achieved his 30th career victory at Zandvoort. He enters a very exclusive circle.
30 victories. 8 drivers. They are only a handful to have achieved such a feat. Since 1950 and the beginning of Formula 1, only Nigel Mansell, Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel, Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Lewis Hamilton, and Michael Schumacher have succeeded in doing so.
But a few days ago, another driver was added to this list: Max Verstappen. The Dutchman crossed this symbolic milestone on his home turf, in front of his audience. The 10th victory of the season was also the 30th of his career.
In addition to joining this very exclusive circle, he managed to enter this shortlist in record time. In 156 starts, the Red Bull driver is the 6th driver to reach this milestone so quickly. Only Michael Schumacher (109), Sebastian Vettel (110), Ayrton Senna (114), Alain Prost (124), and Lewis Hamilton (144) precede him.
