Schumacher’s Ferrari F300 sold as expected

For a tidy sum. This Saturday, August 20th, a single-seater that made history in Formula 1 was auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s. Indeed, the Ferrari F300 driven by Michael Schumacher in 1998 was up for sale.

The chassis 187 was driven four times by Michael Schumacher, and it won on four occasions. This achievement makes this machine a rare piece that was sold for the modest sum of 6.2 million dollars.

During its presentation in early July, the American company indicated that the single-seater could reach between 6 and 8 million dollars. An estimate that was eventually achieved.

The new owner remains unknown for now, but this car has its second owner. The latter acquired it in 1999 following a sale organized by Scuderia Ferrari.
