Pirelli aided by Hülkenberg and Stroll for its tire tests in 2023
The German driver took back the wheel of a Formula 1 car during the Pirelli tests held at the Hungaroring. He was accompanied by Lance Stroll. Mercedes was supposed to be present as well with at least one pilot, but no information has been revealed.
Before going on vacation, the Aston Martin team conducted two days of Pirelli testing on the Hungarian circuit. Lance Stroll and Nico Hülkenberg were behind the wheel of the AMR 22. The Canadian driver drove on Tuesday, August 2nd, while the German driver took over the following day. Hülkenberg completed 130 laps on this twisty track.
Mercedes was also part of the event for these two days with Pirelli, if we are to believe the initially planned schedule. However, according to his social media, it seems that Hamilton was on vacation. Therefore, it is necessarily with George Russell or Nyck de Vries that the team tested the 2023 tires.
