Alex Albon optimistic for qualifying
The Thai is confident in the changes made by his team. He aims for a Q2 entry at Silverstone.
Yesterday, the Williams had unusual colors. The car, which is traditionally blue, appeared half pink. The team based in Grove made developments to the Thai driver’s FW44 and this paint was used to analyze their performance.
These first rollouts seem to have worked as the former Red Bull driver has indicated that he had good sensations behind the wheel of his car. His lap times during the tests give him hope and boost his confidence for the rest of the weekend.
(Speaking) The hope is to manage to put the car in a good window, and if we manage to find the right balance in a window where I can use the car and push it, have confidence in it, it will be a success in itself. If you look in terms of position, Q2 would be an obvious target for us, he revealed.
During the second free practice session, the Thai driver set the 14th fastest lap time, just over a second behind Carlos Sainz, who set the fastest time of the session.
