Jim Glickenhaus believes he has a chance at Le Mans
Author of the second and fourth laps, Jim Glickenhaus' team is confident for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
This is only their second participation, but the American team is not here to just participate, they are displaying their ambitions. After a first edition marked by their 4th and 5th place, Jim Glickenhaus is aiming higher this year.
“The ambitions are always higher and higher when we come back each year. We are a small team against Toyota, it’s really difficult to beat them but we’re going to try,” he told us.
During the test day that took place this Sunday, cars 708 and 709 were at the forefront, not far from the two Toyotas. A performance that seems promising for the American who rarely takes off his cowboy hat.
« Yes, it’s satisfactory, but it’s just testing. I think we are competitive and we will see later if our times put us ahead.

The results of his team, at the start of this season, seem to give him confidence before the race, which takes place this weekend. « I think we showed at Sebring and Spa that our car has speed. We finished on the podium at Sebring and at Spa, we made a mistake and were pushed back a bit. I am very optimistic for Le Mans, we have real chances. Our ambitions are always to win, we would just be very happy to have a good race. »
