2nd red flag in Monaco (maj)
The rain has intensified, the red flag has been raised.
It is a downpour that is falling on the principality. Just minutes before the start, a few drops of rain fell on the Monaco circuit, before intensifying as the minutes went by.
Delayed by ten minutes initially, the formation lap was further postponed by five minutes before the safety car and the 20 cars followed it for two laps. And, at the end of the second lap, the red flag was waved.
The Formula 1 cars have entered the pit stops, while the track, especially at the last turn, has turned into a real swimming pool.
Looking at the weather radar, this seems to be a momentary shower that’s passing over Monaco. This means that we are expecting a restart at some point…hard to say when exactly though. 🌦

For now, no information about the departure has been given. The track is soaked, the mist is increasingly present in Monaco.
Update:
The Monaco Grand Prix has started since 4:15 pm.
A big accident for Mick Schumacher triggered the virtual safety car and then the red flag was deployed on the Monaco circuit, which will resume at 5:15 PM.
