Three teams broke the curfew
Ferrari, Williams, and McLaren have used one of their two wildcards, allowing them to break the curfew.
The mechanics worked very late into the night. This morning, the FIA announced that three teams had broken the curfew set from 11 p.m. to 10 a.m.
Thus Ferrari, Williams, and McLaren have used one of the two allowed jokers this season and therefore no penalty will be given.
For the qualifiers, Carlos Sainz will have a new chassis after his team detected a problem with the fuel circuit.
On the other hand, Lando Norris, who stayed in the pit for almost the entire second free practice session after damaging his floor on a kerb, will also have a new one for this Saturday’s session.
These two changes will not result in any penalty for the two drivers.
