Max Verstappen elected driver of the day
The Dutchman once again demonstrated all his abilities on the track and gained significant points in the championship.
Once again, Max Verstappen was impressive. Starting third, the Dutch driver wasted no time overtaking Carlos Sainz, who was ahead of him on the grid. After patiently waiting behind his championship rival, Charles Leclerc, for a few laps, the Red Bull driver took advantage of a mistake by the Monegasque to launch an unstoppable attack.
The Dutch driver then built up a more than comfortable lead until the accident between Lando Norris and Pierre Gasly completely wiped it out, due to the intervention of the safety car.
The race resumed for about ten laps, and the Dutchman perfectly managed the end of the Grand Prix and won for the third time this season, gaining important points in the championship.
