The seasons 5 and 6 of Drive To Survive have been confirmed

After the success of the first four seasons of Drive To Survive, Netflix and F1 have extended the series for two additional seasons. “DTS” will therefore return at the beginning of next year for a fifth installment that will cover the 2022 season.

The series produced by Netflix has given a real boost to the development of Formula 1 and has won over a new audience, particularly in the United States. Riding on the wave of enthusiasm generated by the series, Formula 1 will be heading to the land of Uncle Sam three times next year. Liberty Media’s CEO, Greg Maffei, had praised the immense worldwide success of the series.

« We are happy to announce, along with our friends at Netflix, that the series was already number one in 33 countries. The viewership for season four is already higher than that of season three. It’s a great success. I think other factors have helped to enhance our popularity, but this is definitely one that we do not underestimate, » Maffei rejoiced on the sidelines of the presentation of the Grand Prix in Las Vegas.

Drive To Survive did not, however, receive full approval from the paddock. Max Verstappen refused to participate in the last season and Lando Norris did not appreciate the way the truth could be distorted. Stefano Domenicali, the head of F1, had announced that he would discuss with Netflix to make the series more realistic.

“>be more representative of reality.”

Season 5 of Drive To Survive is expected to arrive next March exclusively on Netflix.
