Lance Stroll maintains confidence in Aston Martin
The rapid evolutions of Aston Martin's infrastructure at Silverstone give Lance Stroll confidence in long-term projects.
Aston Martin did not start the 2022 season in the best way. So much so that the British team’s scoreboard is still stuck with zero points after three races. Both drivers, Lance Stroll and Sebastian Vettel, seem to have difficulty getting to grips with the AMR22.
The team’s single-seaters still suffer from overweight and porpoising, and they do not expect their problems to be fixed immediately. However, Canadian driver Lance Stroll does not lose faith and believes in the development plans of his team.
“We are really focused and excited for the future,” Lance Stroll said. “What is happening at Silverstone with the factories is truly impressive. It’s progressing so fast. Every week I go there, I am shocked to see the considerable progress they are making and how quickly this building is being constructed […]. We are currently in a growth phase. We will be recruiting people for this project, and they are very talented individuals. It’s a process: nothing happens overnight,” he confided.
The driver particularly emphasized the team’s long-term goal, explaining that Aston Martin would not be fighting for wins this season, and probably not for podiums either.
