Leclerc: Ferrari is very good at managing its weaknesses

Thanks to his two victories in just three Grand Prix, Monégasque driver Charles Leclerc is currently leading the championship. In parallel, the Scuderia is leading the constructors’ standings. Ferrari is therefore the team to beat at the beginning of the season. However, everyone remains cautious about the potential development of the other teams.

In the last three seasons, Ferrari was not the most efficient in terms of development and sometimes encountered some difficulties in managing its weaknesses, especially in the second half of the season. This year seems different for the Italians, at least according to what Charles Leclerc claims.

« Aligning with Red Bull in terms of development is going to be difficult,” said the Monegasque. « But it’s the team that created this car that will take care of the development this year, so I’m confident. We have no reason to be destabilized because we have done an excellent job, the guys in Maranello have done an excellent job building this car for this year. There are some developments coming up, and I am confident we are going in the right direction,” he affirmed.

(English translation) “Over the past two years, I have witnessed a real leap forward in our approach to analyzing each weekend: in our ability to identify our weaknesses and the speed at which we react to improve the areas where we were struggling,” explained Charles Leclerc.

Ferrari must now prepare for the first Italian Grand Prix of the season, the Emilia Romagna GP, this weekend.
