Lando Norris anticipates difficulties in the upcoming races

McLaren is experiencing a chaotic start to the season, with the MCL36 suffering from brake failure and lacking aerodynamic support. However, the Australian Grand Prix went quite well for both drivers, Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo, as they respectively secured fifth and sixth place finishes at the checkered flag.

Despite these apparent improvements, British driver Lando Norris remains cautious, believing that this result would be the best for McLaren for some time.

“The car was good from the first tests and throughout the weekend, which is a good thing,” Lando Norris said. “This shows that the car still has potential. To be honest, we always have to work on the weaknesses if we want to be at this level more often because not all tracks are as smooth and fast. So I think this will be our best result for a while and we are heading towards some tracks that could be more challenging for us,” the driver explained.

Furthermore, the McLarens tried to challenge Lewis Hamilton and George Russell’s Mercedes without much success on the Albert Park circuit. While Lando Norris was expecting more, he acknowledges that the Mercedes are still superior to the MCL36 at present.
