MSC partner of Formula 1
Formula 1 has just added a new partnership to its list. This time, it is with the Swiss cruise company MSC.
MSC, or Mediterranean Shipping Company, now benefits from the growing visibility of Formula 1. The agreement between the two companies for the upcoming season states that an MSC Cruises ship can be docked in a port around the race circuit if the setting allows, in Bahrain for example.
During the opening round of the 2022 season, the MSC logo was indeed present, on one side of the track, but also at the foot of the podium, to the right of the winner’s car, Charles Leclerc. Therefore, MSC appears alongside other Formula 1 partners, such as Rolex or DHL.
This partnership adds to the long list of contracts concluded over the past two years by Formula 1. Prior to the Swiss company, the cryptocurrency platform Crypto.com had also made its entry, just like the oil company Aramco, whose Saudi website was recently targeted by drones.
The financial details of this agreement have not been disclosed to the general public. However, this contract promises to be sustainable in the sense that Formula and MSC have a common long-term goal: to develop new technologies to reduce CO2 emissions.
