Lewis Hamilton: “Why not let the public in for free?”
For the first Grand Prix of the season, the audience is ready to support the drivers. However, a few vacant seats still remain.
The start of the first Grand Prix of the season has just been launched. And after a few laps, many seats have been left empty.
If, on one hand, British flags supporting Lewis Hamilton can be seen, on the other hand, Dutch flags are seen to support the reigning world champion Max Verstappen. However, the Mercedes driver was questioned about the empty seats in the stands after the drivers’ parade, one hour before the start.
“I feel good,” the British man said after his demonstration run. “We have a lot of British flags around here, but it’s still not much compared to other places. I wonder why they wouldn’t offer free admission here, it would be so much better,” the driver wondered.
Also asked about his fifth place, he answers: « I am just excited for the race, we probably don’t have the necessary performance to fight at the front, but I will do my best to maximize it, and I want to make sure to finish the race. Valtteri did a great job. Like many other drivers, Kevin did it after his comeback. Seeing Alfa Romeo and Haas at the front is awesome.”
