Barcelona Tests: The reactions of the Ferrari drivers

The Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc spoke out following the Barcelona tests. And if the Scuderia Ferrari stood out with more than satisfactory results, Leclerc agrees with the team principal of the team, Mattia Binotto.

(English) Our goal is to cover as many kilometers as possible, to do as many different tests as possible, and that’s exactly what we have done this week so far. But once again, as Mattia said, let’s not rejoice. Being the first doesn’t mean anything at this stage of the winter testing. We must continue to work extremely hard and pursue our efforts, entrusted the Monégasque.

His teammate Carlos Sainz also spoke about this week of testing. With 236 laps under his belt, the Spaniard believes it is still too early to determine Ferrari’s position in the rankings.

« I can understand why you’re starting to draw conclusions and try to create a ranking. But for us, we really have no idea. And I think no one knows with what fuel load and what engine everyone is running. So we can’t confirm if we’re happy or sad because we really don’t know where we stand. I think in Bahrain [starting from March 10th], maybe it will be a little easier to guess where everyone is. », admitted Carlos Sainz.

As for the dolphin-like behavior that the Scuderia suffered from at the beginning of the tests, Sainz indicated that it was primarily about determining « if the car is reliable with it, which is tricky to do ».
