Max Verstappen unveils his new helmet
The world champion begins 2022 by wearing a headgear with the number 1. He is the first driver to bear this number since Sebastian Vettel in 2014.
Max Verstappen will have a new helmet this year. The overall design will remain the same, but he has replaced the red color of the stripes and the lion with gold.
In order to celebrate his world champion title, he will display the number 1 on the deflector located on top of his helmet.
Furthermore, he added a star at the back in which “21” is indicated, to recall the year of his world championship title.
