TF1 has made its choice for the broadcast of four Grand Prix races
TF1 group announced the two other Grand Prix, in addition to Monaco and France, they have chosen to broadcast for this 2018 Formula 1 season, which will mark the return of the free French channel in the paddock.
Among the four Grand Prix that the TF1 channel will be able to broadcast free and clear this year, we already knew that the legendary Monaco race and the historic French Grand Prix had been chosen.
From now on, the schedule is complete as the channel has announced its intention to also broadcast the Italian and Belgian rounds of the calendar. TF1 is making a coordinated move since the Belgian Grand Prix and the Italian Grand Prix follow each other on the calendar, on the weekends of August 26 and September 2, respectively.
The plan that the French channel will implement is not yet known, but it is already known that former Toro Rosso driver and current leader of the Formula E World Championship, Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne, will be one of the on-site consultants.
The four Grand Prix races, in Monaco, Le Castellet, Monza, and Spa-Francorchamps, are therefore not very far from the French bases of the channel, which chooses proximity and European time slots more favorable for high viewership.
