Toro Rosso jokes about the criticism of the Honda engine
Toro Rosso started the Honda engine in its Faenza factory and released a video and a fake statement to mock potential jeers about this new partnership.
While the 2018 Honda engine roared to life for the first time in the Toro Rosso factory yesterday, the Italian-Austrian team published a mock press release on their Twitter account addressing invented questions about the supposed ignition difficulties of the Japanese engine.
The questions asked and the answers provided by Toro Rosso are as follows:
Q/ Did it take 6 attempts to start the engine?
No, the engine started on the first try!
Q/ Did you realize that the engine image in the video is last year’s Honda?
Yes, we have an eye…we are the ones who labeled it. We couldn’t reveal this year’s one, could we?
Q/ Did the engine explode?
It’s quite the opposite, he took off like a rocket!
Q/ Was your factory engulfed in flames after the start-up?
Our factory is in perfect condition, thank you for your concern!
Q/ “Good luck, you’ll need it!”
