Williams unveils the latest version of its FW40
The Williams team has revealed more photos of its new single-seater, the FW40, after being the first team to unveil its shapes and colors last week.
After revealing some photos of its FW40 last Friday, Williams shared new images of the car that will tackle the 2017 Formula 1 season with former retiree Felipe Massa at the wheel, who was called back after Valtteri Bottas’ transfer to Mercedes this winter, and the very young Lance Stroll.
In these new images, it quickly becomes apparent that Williams has finally opted, like the majority of its competitors except for Mercedes for the moment, for the shark fin on the engine cover. The first images of the FW40 showed an aerodynamic appendage in this part of the car, but it is now much more significant.
Starting Monday, for the first day of pre-season testing in Barcelona, Felipe Massa will be the first to take the wheel of the FW40.
