Williams unveils the first photos of its FW40
The Williams team is the first to unveil photos of its 2017 single-seater, just days before its official launch on February 25.
Williams surprised everyone by unveiling the first images of the FW40, the first 2017 single-seater to reveal its shape in public.
The new design of the single-seaters is distinguished by a different wheelbase: smaller side air intakes, a narrower rear wing, and of course wider tires, both at the front and rear.
However, the distinctive Williams nose seen over the past two seasons is still present, even if it is now a bit shorter.
The team is set to officially launch its 2017 car, named FW40 in tribute to Williams’ forty years in Formula 1, on February 25, two days before the start of the first pre-season tests in Barcelona.
