Jules Bianchi will have a street named after him in Nice
French driver Jules Bianchi, who died in July 2015 following his accident at the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix, will have a street named after him in the city of Nice.
The Sapin Street, near the Allianz Riviera stadium in Nice, will soon be renamed Jules Bianchi Street, in tribute to the Formula 1 driver who passed away on July 17, 2015, from injuries sustained during his accident at the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix.
The inauguration will take place on January 23rd at 4:45 PM, in the presence of Christian Estrosi, president of the PACA Region, and the mayor of Nice, Philippe Pradal.
Since the young driver’s death, numerous expressions of affection and remembrance have multiplied. A petition is notably still open for a corner of the legendary Monaco circuit to be named after Jules Bianchi.
