Private testing program in Austria on June 23 and 24, 2015
As planned at the beginning of the season, all Formula 1 teams, except Manor, will gather for two days for the second private testing session of the year at the Red Bull Ring track in Austria. Here is the full schedule and the drivers who will participate.
After an initial private testing session on the Barcelona track, right after the Spanish Grand Prix, the Formula 1 teams and their drivers will have the opportunity to test their machines and their developments for two days, on June 23 and 24, on the Red Bull Ring track, which hosted the Austrian Grand Prix last weekend.
Winner of the race on Sunday, Nico Rosberg will be present on Wednesday for Mercedes, preceded the day before by the in-house test driver, Pascal Wehrlein. However, the latter will also be driving for Force India this Wednesday.
On the French side, Pierre Gasly will be offered another opportunity to shine in the Red Bull-Renault seat on Tuesday, and Esteban Ocon will take his place in the Force India on the same day. Similarly, Romain Grosjean will have some track time on Tuesday before handing over to Jolyon Palmer the next day.
Two newcomers will make their debut in a Formula 1 during these tests: Antonio Fuoco and Marco Wittman. The first will have the honor of slipping into the Ferrari on Tuesday while the German, 2014 DTM champion, will make his first laps with a Toro Rosso.
It should be noted that the Manor team has decided to skip these two days of testing, as was already the case during previous sessions in Barcelona.
