The Italian is happy to start a new chapter in his career: « I am very happy to become a member of the Sauber team in Formula 1, which has a long tradition of supporting young drivers. I think it’s truly the best choice for my future. »
Marciello will also participate in his second season in GP2, alongside his program with Sauber: « I am also very happy to do another season in GP2, which, with my new role in Formula 1, will keep me very busy in 2015. »
Monisha Kaltenborn, the director of Sauber, is happy to welcome a new young talent alongside Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr for the upcoming season: « He has proven his great talent in feeder series, and his season in the European Formula 3 Championship, with his 13 victories and title, was particularly impressive. We will give him the opportunity to become familiar with Formula 1 by allowing him to take part in some Friday practice sessions. »
