“No real progress” concerning the health condition of Jules Bianchi
Hospitalized in Nice since his repatriation from Japan, Jules Bianchi is still in a stable condition, as confirmed by his father yesterday to the regional press.
It’s been exactly two months now since Jules Bianchi has been fighting for his life following his accident at the Japanese Grand Prix last October.
First hospitalized in Yokkaichi for several weeks, his health condition allowed for a transfer to St-Roch Hospital in Nice, where he is now, closer to his family. For the moment, his condition remains stable but has not shown any significant progress, as his father, Philippe, told the regional daily Var Matin: “It takes time and patience. When there are real advancements, we will communicate.”
The situation is difficult to bear for his family, who are nevertheless fighting alongside Jules to ensure the environment is as conducive as possible to the recovery of the young French driver: « I’m managing as best as I can. Since Jules is strong, we are trying to be strong too. We are not going to let him down now. We are by his side, trying to give him all the energy we can. »
« We are well surrounded, we are left alone, it’s a good thing, » he concludes.
Earlier in the week, the panel of experts appointed by the FIA to study the circumstances of the Marussia driver’s accident released its report, which notably emphasizes that safety procedures were followed.
